Yep. I've gotten the same vibe from a few of my misguided pals who are fans of the pudgy canines...they're already hedging or going radio silent. I think this is being under played. Think about the disrespect for the defending champs. Conversely, think about the pressure from having to rise up with all new guys all over the defense. That team knows the dudes that won are not there.

I think some of this fan base is delusional. Kirby Smart did not win a national championship last year by being an idiot. He has assembled great recruiting classes and has a very good staff.

I know it’s new for most of our fan base, but Smart has coached in big games before. He has coached in 1 vs 2 match ups. Smart isn’t going to come out in a news conference and say something stupid. everything he is saying is coach speak and our fan base is trying to dissect every word he says and make it sound like he is afraid or the moment is too big for him.

The point I’m trying to make is don’t let Smart live rent free in your head.
