Mears to the 5

Haven't heard of Mears going to the 5, but one thing I have been hearing is that the teams in teh shops could be flipped around. The 24 and 48 could be separated and move the 5 in with the 24 and the 48 in with Jr's new car.... that has been talked about a lot over the past couple of years and it looks like it may finally happen.

anything to get the god forsaken, cursed #25 out of their shop(s) could be considered a good move. also, the split of the 48 and 24 is a wonderful idea as well.

it has Hendricks first car # so he wants to keep it running

Hendrick's first car number was 25...

but doozer you're right, that number is cursed. kind of weird that that number will not be a Hendrick number though.

it's won like a total of 5-6 (or something low like that) races and almost killed somebody.

"The #5 was our first car (at Hendrick Motorsports), so, for me, there's a lot of personal history in that team," said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports

I've heard from almost every which direction that Jr. might get the #38 next year....As you all know he's said he wanted something with an 8 in it....Just have to wait and see, I don't want him to drive a #25 though....And the split with the 24 and 48 would be good for that whole company because IMO the 25 car is the only car at Hendrick Motorsports that is about level with the rest of the field, that car has never really done, obviously, what the others have....So I think that could be good, especially since Jr. will go over there and have no clue how things work over there, so if that happens I think that could be a good move
