He never did tell us what he wouldn't do for love. Forever... it shall remain a mystery.

RIP, Big Fella.

I remember when my brother bought Bat Out of Hell in the summer of 1977 (was home from UT for the summer) and we played it for the first time. We both thought it was unreal. The arrangements, his range, the lyrics. I continued to listen to it regularly to this day.

Serendipitous that I'm smoking a meatloaf today
I'm smoking a bowl or 2, myself. So, I'm really intrigued. I love meatloaf, but never had it smoked. Sounds awesome, but I do have the munchies.

RIP Meatloaf. Man, I remember my uncles playing "Bat Out of Hell" for me, when I was like 7. I loved "Paradise by the Dashboard Light". Of course, I didn't realize what it was about until a decade later. Made me like it even more. Then he makes a out of nowhere comeback in the early 90s, with "I'd Do Anything for Love (But, I Won" t Do That") on "Bat Out of Hell II", which is great, also. Not a lot of artists have their 2 biggest selling albums, like 15 years between each other's release. Mad impressive, imo. Meatloaf did some pretty damn good acting in "Fight Club", also. He will be missed

Could a guy as vocally talented as Meatloaf who looked like Meatloaf even get a record deal in today’s music industry? What passes for music these days is a far cry from the 70’s - 80’s

It is amazing as to just how humble the guy was. He seemed like a really good person.
