Talking on Birmingham radio and one of the hosts said they were told in regards to Slive's address at 12:30 they "have to be there" Speculating as to what it could mean. 'AA' issues or Slive possibly announcing a possible retirement. Just caught the end of the segment but could get interesting.

Various media officals are saying it's a 'must listen.' Also, Clay Travis tweeted that the NCAA was in Montgomery in June (I think June) investigating Auburn.

wtf? I was hoping he was going to announce that Florida, LSU, Bama and Auburn were caught up in a recruiting scandal that would doom all 4 programs for the next decade.

Some highlight tweets of this since I can't get the video to work -

Slive Calls for full cost of attendance. About $3000 per year extra for each athletes

Slive: Scholarships should be multi-year deals. ABOUT. DANG. TIME.

Slive calls for multi year scholarships and more access to athletes who leave school and want to come back.

slive wants to increase grade-point average in core courses from 2.0 to 2.5 for incoming freshman student-athletes.

Slive just said he wants to bring back partial qualifier status, to a certain degree. Fresno State moves to the edge of its seat...

Slive: "Its time to press the reset button on the regulatory approach to recruiting."

Slive wants text and social media messages allowable in recruiting, because this is how kids communicate these days.

Wants to allow text messaging/Facebook, etc. in recruiting, eliminate the "bump rule," prohibit schools from hosting 7-on-7 type events.

Slive wants a new category for "intentional NCAA violations" and suggests major and secondary terms may be outdated.

Like the social media proposed changes. And of course the stupid "bump rule."

Thanks for posting tiger.

Slive has some stones, I'll give him that. He wants to posture like a crusader for morality when he's got almost half of his programs either on probation or about to receive sanctions. What a tool.

Don't entirely disagree, but does that change the fact that what he is proposing would benefit the players the most, and at the end of the day that's what this SHOULD be about?

Certainly there would be benefits. But there is no way a 2.5 GPA rule is ever going to pass. The Big 10/12 would both go buck wild.
