That is where I would pick us. They add a number one player and a strong post to all five starters returning. Were right there with four starters returning and several excellent players to add depth. We have to play at their place so that gives them the edge. I think we can go 14 and 2 in the SEC. I think they probably go 15 and 1 or 16 and 0.
I think USC drops one or two unexpected games this season.
Don't see it. They have a pretty easy non-conference schedule, with a watered down Duke team being their toughest match. They'll have plenty of time to get their freshmen acclimated to the college game. By the time they get to SEC play, they'll have a lot of minutes under their belt.
Depending on how good Wilson is, they have a good chance to win the NC. UConn loses a lot, and if they have a player or two that can make things difficult for Stewart, and they don't get 20 pts from their backcourt, then they will be vulnerable. Hartley and Dolson will be big voids to fill, and they may not have the personnel to overcome that.
South Carolina also plays UConn in their OOC schedule, so Duke is not their toughest game.
USC will lose one or two games. The Lady Vols could lose three or four games.
It will be interesting to watch the season play out.
South Carolina will lose at UCONN and possibly/probably at Duke, but if they stay healthy, I think that's it. They only have to face UT once in the regular season and it's in Columbia.
Looked at the Lindy's Basketball magazine today they had the Lady Vols picked fifth in the nation. They had it UConn, SC, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Tennessee. I think they got it wrong I think were going to beat the crap out of Stanford this season. I don't expect them to be a top ten team by season's end.
