The right and left are both about money. They promise what they need to in order to get elected. The left making the claim that the right is all about big business and they are looking out for the little man is laughable. The fact that so many buy into it is pathetic.

Obama has been getting donations from surprising and unconventional places. Big Business is still supporting McCain, but there is a huge grassroots movement to support Obama. The media isn't supporting Obama BTW, it is just reporting things as factually as possible. The fact is that Obama is way ahead of McCain and all the polls show it. The only media outlet that I would say is clearly biased towards Obama is MSNBC and some liberal papers, but for everyone of those you have a FoxNews biased toward the right. Even the right-leaning sources are supporting Obama in this election. It's just clear to the majority of the nation who the best guy for the job is.

By grass roots, do you mean the same donors over and over sending anonymous money?

Your comments on the media don't merit response.

There is no way you can believe that. The media has even admitted bias.

Why isnt teaching a real job? They obviously failed you in your education but why do you consider teaching to not be a real job?

in 2004 the Media, cable news in particular, constantly talked about the swift boat ads and it cost Kerry lots of votes. GW got the best of the media for that election so it works both ways!

Yes, because all teachers are flaming liberals who are out to destroy traditional American values, not to mention, are just there to collect a paycheck and have no value to society in any respect.

All teachers who belong to the NEA are definitely complicit in the destruction of traditional American values.

your need for further comment says it's not worth the effort.

I'm not asking for a term paper here. I'm just asking how teachers have cause a decline in traditional American values. I've been in public schools for all my life, and have never been a part of a classroom where the teacher talks about his or her political affliation. In fact, I really couldn't tell you where my teachers have stood on anything really, other than wanting to get paid more, something most/all of us could identify with. Public school teachers are told to not preach about political affliation, and around 95% of them don't. I won't deny there are a few teachers that talk about how much they hate a certian party, but the vast majority just do their job.

Obviously, the vast majority are not getting the job done. The NEA has also made it near impossible to either terminate teachers or provide them incentives based on merit because the methods to do so would be "subjective".

The NEA has also fought tooth and nail against vouchers and school choice initiatives, to include voting down some incredibly forward-thinking charter school plans across the country.

Most of the teachers who simply pay dues might not understand exactly what the NEA stands for. For this reason, I specifically chose the word "complicit".
