Burn me all you want, but I don't see how doing this right now is a great idea. Let's put our starting point guard out in the public amid the worst breakout in cases we've seen all year. Omicron may be mild for most, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have to sit for some games. Just seems sort of dumb.

He just had Covid recently so he doesn’t have to worry about it for a few months.

For those of you who are older, ELO’s “Don’t Bring Me Down” was written in foresight for the Bruce Pearl Era at Tennessee. Listen to the words.

But, the NIL stuff won’t interfere with performance.
The kid is allowed to have a life outside of basketball. If the NIL wasn’t a thing he would be doing something else with his free time. Now he can just make money doing it. What about the athletes that have part time jobs, are they supposed to not work and just worry about the sport they are playing?

Yes, he is allowed that freedom. How many athletes do you know personally that have outside jobs?

I understood scholarship athletes aren’t allowed a part time job by the NCAA. Think it was in response to the guy’s getting paid to turn on the automatic sprinklers ad the like.
