Then he asked his buddy, Farney, what he thought.

Who is Farney?

"I've got this little midget in my head," Freel said. "I was like, 'Hey, Farney, I don't know if that was you who caught that ball. That was pretty good if that was you.'

"He talks to me once in awhile. The guys give me a hard time about this extra man in my head."

Is this guy the craziest guy in sports or what?

So let me get this straight. The little midget might have come out of his head and made the catch?

How did he come out (nose, mouth, ears)?

Did he have glove? Did he use Freel's and if so is he a midget with normal sized hands? Was it a barehanded catch? (barehanded by a midget living in someone's head is pretty damned impressive)

Did he give the ball to Freel before he went back in his head?

Does this count as a 10th player on the field? or maybe 9 and 1/2th player?

I think it would be great to have a midget playing catcher. They would last longer because they don't have to squat down to catch the ball, and if they block the plate... Well, who's going to kick a midget?
