I am a student at UT. And at 26, with a wedding ring on my hand and a thick beard (with gray sprinkled in) I think I might look more like a professor than a student to a lot of other students...which might be why I D'Andre Payne was extremely polite...

As I was leaving a business speech class (right after giving a presentation on the German Education System) I was walking side by side with D'Andre. I quickly noticed him and asked him how he was settling in on campus. He replied "Very well, sir. I love it here." I asked him if he was excited about the class we just signed and he said "Yes sir, it's been a lot of fun." I didn't want to stalk the kid so I just chatted for a second before we parted ways.

On signing day I was walking into athropology class down in Circle Park at the McClung Museum when I noticed another familar face. A kid decked out in orange with no eyebrows isn't difficult to miss. After class, Josh Dobbs happened to be heading in the same direction as me (towards Neyland stadium actually) and I had to ask him about the class as well. He had a much lower voice than I expected but he said "Yeah man, it's pretty awesome. Coach has been rockin it." I told him Coach Jones did a great job. I also told him a lot of Vol fans still had their fingers cross for Adoree Jackson (Who had actually committed to USC while we were in class) and he said "Yeah...but he's a Cali guy so you can't blame the guy." Which I agree with. I love the class we have.

And finally, I met Ethan Wolf on the second day of class. I'm 6'4" about 225 and he is definitely bigger than me...by a lot. haha. I just welcomed him to campus and wished him luck, but I heard something pretty interesting about him. In my business speech class I am classmates with a Lady Vols soccer player who is actually part of my group for a semester project. When we met yesterday, she was talking about her weekend and how she had a jolly good time and accidentally left her boots in Ethan's dorm. Long story short, it sounded like the freshmen are being freshmen and making friends fast. :)

I've also met Jalen Hurd and Josh Malone just briefly to welcome them to campus. Quite frankly, Hurd looks like a monster the way he is built. I see why Jamal Lewis likes him so much...he is a taller, faster, but just as hard-hitting version of himself.

GO VOLS!

Sounds like you ran into almost as many FB players this week as I did in 3-4 yrs at UT back in the late 70s-early 80s! I rarely saw any although I did have some classes with some, incl Craig Puki (anyone remember him?) we had a management class together, which we both dropped...he went on a European study that quarter (yes quarter) & I was failing the class!!
