Did anyone else think he was huge difference maker in our comeback last night?

He had clutch defense, attacked the rim, and got others the ball. We/he still struggles with feeding the post, but I thought he was the difference maker in our offense last night. Not to take away from other guys particularly Scotty. Scotty played very clutch, but he has been proving that game in and game out recently.

Also, how about that win in Memorial! I was hating it up until we rallied back after the Pear foul/Jenkins free throw miss. You have to love hearing "It's great to be a Tennessee Vol" as you leave an opponent’s gym!

He was instrumental over the last 10 minutes along with everyone else on the floor. He was a big part of the problem during the first 30 minutes. He wants to shoot more than the team needs him too. He has a hard time understanding how to create ways to get others involved.

Yeah he was clutch last night and if we make it to the tournament, it will be Goins and Bone's defense that carries us. They can play D better than anyone in the country IMO.

True, but atleast he found a way to get that turned around. He definitely worked harder to get others involved, but I think we have people like Tatum and Hopson who absolutely cannot pass to save their lives.

Also, how about no McBee and more Hall and Maymon. I think that served us well.

Agree that no Skyler is an improvement. SM is doing the best he can but he has no business playing in the SEC. His 3 point percentage is too low as compared to what we loose on defense when he is in the game.

I had the opportunity to go to the game last night, and there was a 3-4 minute spurt by Goins when we were down by 11 where he took over the game. He had an intensity about him during that time that was very impressive. If the team played like that the enitre game, we would have better results.

I like Skyler, but I was impressed how much better we looked last night with him not getting any minutes.

people have been down on melvin lately. i think he has played very hard sometimes showing the most heart on the team. i know that isn't always enough, but in a year where the toughness doesn't seem to be there, i appreciate his hustle on defense and loose balls and his willingness to create. a lot of the times he gets a bad wrap because he is the guy with the ball in his hands with 3 seconds on the shot clock, that goes with the position. We could be better at that position, but we could be a lot worse off.

My favorite thing about Goins (and the whole team for that matter) during the last 10 minutes is the way we attacked the rim. Goins' tight defense was great. That's one thing I feel like he's really consistent at is good D.

Just out of curiosity: Was that foul they called on Pearl when he stepped in and stole the ball not the worst call you've ever seen?
