In the waning seconds, we are up by 1 with the ball. Goins, statistically the best free throw shooter on the team has the ball. I, like all of you, was simply waiting for UF to foul him, and one would expect him to step and knock down the freethrows as a senior leader would. His move: advance pass the ball to Cam Tatum, the most inconsistent freethrow shooter on the team. You know the rest.

I just don't think Melvin knows what to do as a PG. I really miss Bobby at this point. Goins has missed a number of passes a normal PG should instictively know to make this year and waits a split second too long to make others. He gets to the lane without any real plan far too often and expects the bail out treatment than Walker got for the Gators tonight. Goins just isn't that much of a basketball player. It's too bad because I think that Golden has potential, but no one to truly mentor him.

It's a shame that he didn't have a coach to help him figure out what to do in that situation.

I would have been furious if I was Pearl. Instead, right after Tatum was fouled, Pearl was clapping and shaking his head like that's what he wanted them to do.

Who the hell would have thought about that before the season began?

Nice observation. Honestly, I didn't even think about that. You are right, no doubt they have to foul. Why pass to Tatum? :ermm:

So glad this is Melvins fourth year of play.

He was probably thinking about his choke job at the line against Charlotte.

My question: why did Tobias Harris (who got the rebound) not just keep the ball until they fouled him?

I agree with this, but Pearl really shouldn't have to tell his senior and his best freethrow shooter to keep the ball in those situations.

BP isnt for sure who his seniors or best ft shooters are.How can he know that, when he hasnt figured out that Mcmiss has no business on the team but yet sticks him in there and contiues with these stupid lineups and rotations ?
In order for BP to fix the teams problems he needs to fix his own problems.at one point last night the lineup on the floor was KH,TG,SP,SM and JB. Im pretty sure these players were on the floor at the sametime last night.Either way its close and that is pathetic. Not one player on the court beside JB had anything to offer.
