Trae, please be advised that you are not 6'-8", or 6'-5", or even 6'. Please stop driving the lane for a shot in the paint against guy's that are a foot taller than you.

PLEASE!!!! We good now?

I'm frustrated too but can't dog a guy who keeps the team in games. He's a soph and will learn to be smarter in crunch time. Golden has shown great improvement this year and will continue to get better, hopefully in late game situations

This wasn't written in memo format.

Also he's listed as 6'1.

Also he's our most consistent scorer.

Without him we wouldn't be in most games.

I agree on 1 thing, he's not clutch at all.

Agree with everything you have said here

That loss was as much the defensive breakdown when UT was up by 2 with 30 seconds left. I think it was Richardson allowed the guy to drive right by him to the basket. I've said it before, but UT does not pressure the ball handler. Golden and the other gaurds leave a 3 to 4 foot cushion. This allows quick gaurds to survey the floor and make a break. Pressuring the ball forces the ball handler to defend their space, which takes their focus off driving and onto ball protection.

I will agree we need him on the floor to handle the ball and he does create opportunities, but please pull his butt out when he starts throwing up crap. The reason he's the top scorer is because he takes twice as many shots. Half of those shots are crap shots. His trying to drive the lane has hurt the team on more than one occasion. He has big men under the basket. Use them.

he is a fine player, just go somewhere else with the ball in clutch situations.

I seem to remember Tobias Harris getting about 4 or 5 opportunities to hit a game winning or game tying basket last year and he missed on all of them and sometimes missed badly and nobody ragged on him

Forget Golden he is the least of their problems, how about Scott "I made one big shot in my life against KU" McBee. That dude got worked the last minute and a half. Robinson from GA went right by him twice in 30 secs. Worst player on our team by far, think he was 1-6 last night from 3, and that is supposed to be his shot?

Whoever replaces him will be an upgrade.

Pre-season, they were voted as the 11th best team in the SEC. Relax! They gonna be fine. Cuonzo has broke them down and now he is rebuilding the spirit. He is a great coach! Very impressive!

1. His name isn't scott
2. He's hit a pretty decent number of clutch shots this year (including that late 3 against UGA last night).
3. He is a defensive liability which is why CCM was subbing him out on defensive possessions late in the game.
4. He didn't shoot very well last night, but he's been a good option so far this year (check the %). Sometimes they don't fall. At least he only took 6.

Sreriously there are plenty of bash golden threads this could have gone in there enough is enough. Is he clutch? No. Is he a good ball handler? Not really. Does he try to score too often? Yes. Now...is he our 2nd best player? Yes. Is he our best ball handler? Yes. Does he contribute major things to this team? Yes.

As said just go somewhere else in the clutch moments.

I haven't really been paying attention at end of game situations but is Maymon always doubled? He's plenty impressive coming off the bounce and the defense is always looking for Golden to take that shot.

No that'd leave someone completely alone. The play calls should be in bounding to golden stokes or maymon posting up and golden throwing it to them. Don't try and be fancy, we have cruisers down low use them. If at that point they double down and leave a shooter wide open then fine I don't care for the guard to shoot but let the posts get a touch.

Excuse me your right Skyler, you see how forgetable he can be.

Simple. Not everyone can be this smart!

lol the sad thing is you dont have to be smart to see to see Maymon and Stokes are the strength of our team. The offense should run threw them.Another thing i can understand is why they dont run a couple of plays for Skylar comming of some screens to free him up.

I agree with the above. Golden has been golden for us this year. Where would we be without him? Unfortunately, we don't have a clutch player to go to on this team. He may be our best chance and I suspect Martin feels this way also as he consistently goes to Golden in these situations.

I have never seen a player so non-clutch at the end of games as Golden.

Trae is basically the anti-Tebow.

Did you see the floater he hit for our last points in regulation? That looked pretty darn clutch to me.
