I'm looking forward to three days off, some NASCAR, some Indy 500, steaks on the grill. Not taking a trip, just hanging out at the house.

My thoughts on what some of you may be doing...

OrangeEmpire--3 days reading up on the tactical implications of the rifled gun barrell on battlefield strategy.

SmokeDog--3days of, well you know... :devilsmoke:

LIO--Schools Out!! A 3 month party now begins! :yahoo:

Jr.--The annual post-padding ninja convention in Mosquito Flats, Mississippi.

HatVol--3days fishing with Knight and Switzer.

OWB-3day strategy session with the DCCC.

Jakez4UT--Road trip gone awry. 3days spent on the phone in Acapulco trying to find his lost luggage.

VolinBham--3days in Bham. :yuck: May God have mercy on your soul!

Milo--3days under an umbrella.

What are the rest of you up to???

I don't believe you. Get outside man! Cook a hotdog, drink a beer!

I said close, I am sure at some point I will read some of the Glorious Cause.

Don't worry I will be eating plenty of pork products!

Were do you sit? I've been about 18 times (2 years ago was the last time). We typically sit in the short shute between 3 and 4 up around row 50 - pretty good seats - plenty of action - we almost got hit with the back wing off of a car about 6 years ago! It was spinning like a helicopter blade and landed on some people about 8 rows in front of us - nothing serious.

I'll be watching - pulling for Kanaan and/or Hornish.

That is very cool.

I'll be on the beach with my family trying to ignore the noise from the 100,000 bikers cruising up and down the Grand Strand. Luckily for me most are in Myrtle and North.

Real Oregonians don't use umbrellas. You put on a hood. Sometimes.

I'm actually planning to fly to Lithuania to party with this truck driver. I hear he's a tank.

Moving..........How old was your uncle D4V,s? My uncle was KIA during WWII.He was infantry about 25 years old.His brother was there as well.As far as I know, the brother stayed over there, unlike Saving Private Ryan.I may go to the Courthouse lawn where they have the memorials for the fallen soldiers of our county .Never been before on Memorial Day.

he had just had his 20th b day. In 1998 I had an afternoon long chat with a man who was in his platoon. He had a lot to say.
