Good for them on getting out of CUSA. That being said, they might be the only team in the Big East when it is all said and done. So much for joining a real conference :salute:
The thing about the BigEast that I don't understand is why the Catholic 7 let it go this far before they stepped in. Why is adding Tulane the final straw? its been a joke for a while now.
It's meltdown mode around here. I can't help but laugh. Now, the new conference they're joining will be Conference USA's leftovers or there won't be a conference at all.
Syracuse and Pitt were set to join in 2013 or 2014 (this came about around the same time the Missouri and Texas A&M to the SEC stuff was going on....well before the Notre Dame to the ACC stuff also) to give the conference a total of 14 teams
Louisville was then also invited/accepted as a replacement to Maryland after the latter recently accepted membership into the big 10...to keep the conference at a total of 14
The Big East may not even make it to their weird set up; if the talks between the MWC and Boise St. are true, then BSU may stay put and I would think that may influence others not to go, a la San Diego St.
