Not a huge fan, but how nice would it be if the Grizzlies landed the #1 pick today and the Bulls landed the #2? This could make for a great situation for the Grizz. First off, they take Oden. He is an immediate fill for a huge need. The Bulls would then take Durant. The Bulls have also been talking about trading Deng for Gasol. I would love that trade as a Memphis fan. This would definitely help both teams. That could give Memphis a potentially good team in a few years.

If I remember correctly, the Bulls can swap picks with the Knicks if they wish, to complete the trade for Eddie Curry. But the Knicks have a very low shot at landing the #2 pick

The Bulls were in the playoffs so from what I know they won't be in the lottery unless they have traded for a pick. They definitely will not get one of the first four picks.

Yes they can get the Knicks pick. I would be more of a fan of the Grizz if we could see them on TV like I see the Bulls on WGN.

yeah I think have a chance. see when the Knicks got Eddie Curry from the Bulls one of the deals was that the Bulls could swap picks with the Knicks in a draft. So if the Knicks get a top 5 pick, the Bulls could swap picks with them.

Same thing with the Hawks. When they trade for Joe Johnson from the Suns, they gave away a first round pick. So the Suns own the Hawks' pick unless it's a top 3 pick

Yeah seriously. I live in Morristown and get the Hawks' games and Bulls too. Never get a Grizz game

A friend and I was discussing the ridiculous concept known as the draft lottery and we determined that since the Grizz had the worst record in the league they could get no lower than #4 to which we decided that #4 it would be. Shoulda taken that to Vegas.

My dad (Celtics fan) is pretty bummed. I don't think he's felt this bad since the ping-pong balls didn't bounce the right way 10 year ago as Tim Duncan went on his merry way to San Antonio.

No team with Jarrett Jack at the point is "stacked."
Still... Caught a lot of people off guard. Everybody at my store stopped working for half an hour to go over to plasmas and watch ESPN. It'd be great to be looking forward to the battle of I-5 in the future with Durant vs. Oden, but the Sonics are probably moving ot Oklahoma City.

Still, lots of excitement here, looking forward to a good season. I've already got plans on buying half season tickets.

And Boston fans, SIT DOWN.

Portland is now, in a word, relevant. Although, I agree with hat, something is going to have to be done about Jack, I don't think he is the answer at point.

Nor do I. But hey, two years ago we had the worst record in the NBA and a sour taste in our mouths about the kind of team that gives the NBA its bad image. Now we've got great young talent and are staring at a realistic shot of making the playoffs in the west. A lot of people here think Sergio Rodriguez might be the guy to take over for Jarrett Jack. Jack is still young as well, though, and could develop into a solid backup.

The only two players we need to dump IMO are Darius Miles and Zach Randolph.

Good luck trading either of those contracts.

Yeah... Still needs to be done, though. Zach Randolph takes too much attention away from the younger talent that needs it, and is the last remaining tie to the Jail Blazers from years ago. As for Miles, I don't see the point in paying someone who doesn't want to be there.
