With Witherspoon out and Garcia leaving, I don't see them ass a top 25 team. Plus Garcia was one of the few upperclassmen on the team.

Anyone remember the Tigers brought in the nation's #1 recruiting class for this season? They have the potential to be awesome, and not years from now, but this year. I think it all depends on how Pastner develops as a game coach and whether all this raw talent can gel. They've had a bumpy start, but I think it's crazy to underestimate this team. We'll see, I guess.

pastner didn't seem to coach very well to me(could have been due to playing kansas).. but i'm pretty ignorant on the subject, is he considered a very good coach?

He's unproven. Last year, he took essentially a scrub team to the NIT tourney, but it's hard to say. He's dealin' with a lot of youth, and I kind of wonder if a coach as young as he is will get them under control and stop all the hot doggin' enough to be effective. It's a wait&see.

Memphis also kicked one of the top players from that #1 recruiting class off the team. They still have the potential to be great, but Pastner hasn't proven anything from a coaching stand point.
