Memphis Tigers QB Cannon Smith was arrested for public intox and disorderly conduct. He is the son of FedEX pres. Fred Smith. I think daddy wrote a big check to the school so his son could start the first of the season. Meanwhile, Tigger fans are flaming on UT's loss in BB.:hi:

Hopefully, if you ever have any kids, they don't make a mistake as a college student. I can't believe a college athlete would drink alcoholic beverages... :huh:

He isnt a terrible QB, he did get a scholly to Miami. Have you gotten a scholly at a D1 school to play QB?

He refused to pay cab fare and when the sops got called, he challenged the officers to a fight.

Not the first time he has been in trouble with the law. After committing to Ole Miss after his senior fb season, he got caught in his mom's mercedes speeding and holding 15-20 pills of ecstasy. Ole Miss pulled the scholly and he ended up at Hargrave before going to the U.

He is a terrible QB....the only way he has got to where he is is because of who his dad is.....the kid couldn't throw it in the ocean standing on the beach...he is plain & simple (Terrible)

If I remember correctly, his dad was trying really hard to get Kiffin to take this kid @ UT.

I remember when he got busted with all that XTC. I would cry like a lil beeeatch if I had that much X confiscated.

You are out of your mind to think that Miami would give him a scholly to play QB because his dad is CEO of FedEx. Quit being a hater b/c his dad is rich beyond anyones wildest dreams

That is the only reason miami gave him a scholly.....if u would take off the tiger high glasses....the kid is TERRIBLE....miami took him so they thought they would get some Fed Ex $$$$$$$$$$$$$.....

Austin Peay took those clowns to overtime, they need to worry about themselves, and the ass beating the Vols will give them very shortly.

1. Armed robbery at a gas station by a "student" athlete.
2. Possession of a firearm with a filed off serial # and possession of weed by three "student" athletes. Two of which are still starting BB players.
3. Assault at a nightclub by "student" athletes.

Public intox by a college student. That never happens.

Cannon is a decent QB. Everyone thinks that his playing was to satisfy Fred and it somehow jeopardized the Tiger season. If Peyton Manning played for the Tigers this past year, there is probably 1 more win on the record.
