Haha, unfortunately Pearl can talk to whoever he wants. I could be wrong, but I was always under the impression that the permission to talk thing was just a courtesy gesture anyway.

Pearl just wants to talk with the Memphis players to see which ones want to transfer...he may even go there and hold tryouts.

Surely he wouldnt seriously consider a step down to Memphis...but if he does, I hope he is run out of town on a rail.

right on the money. I'm not sure at all that the 'coaching in the SEC' aura and spotlight, extends to Tennessee basketball..not yet, at least. Memphis on the other hand has not won a title, granted, but they are pretty consistently knocking on the door.
