that 1991 UNLV squad was the best I've seen.

UNC squad with Jordan, Worthy and Perkins was great as well, but Smith's style hurt that team.

Can you imagine what Tark the Shark could have done with that team?
You know what they say, "The only person who could stop Michael Jordan was Dean Smith."

The 1996 Kentucky team would beat anyone in college basketball this season by 25 points.

The 1996 Kentucky team is in the discussion, along with the 1990 UNLV team and the 1992 Duke team, as to who is the best National Champion of the last 20 years.

Mateen Cleaves and company can thank Kenyon Martin's broken leg every time they look at their rings. The referees from the regional final in Auburn Hills against Iowa State also deserve a salute from the Spartans.

The Big 3 of the Fab Five were in no way overrated. Jimmy King and Ray Jackson were just guys along for the ride. The fact they went to two NCAA finals as freshmen and sophs is a testament to how good Webber, Rose, and Howard were.

I'd probably take the '92 Duke squad. That's the team that beat Vegas in '91 with a year's maturity plus Cherokee Parks off the bench.

If memory serves me correct, Brian Davis usually started and Antonio Lang was the first guy off the bench.

but that 91 Vegas squad was the better team. Duke happened to play them in that one or two out of 10 they could have beaten them.

Those UNLV teams never had a great center, but they played wicked D, had huge offensive options and were amazingly athletic.

I like the Duke team better because I'm a fan, but that UNLV team beat an extremely talented Arky squad that could have won the title in many other seasons.
