memphis vs UT game thread

Losing to Memphis won't matter one bit after we tear Florida UP!!

Watched the game at a bar here in NYC. Memphis finally started exploiting the Shawne Williams/Dane Bradshaw matchup in the post. Bradshaw made him earn it, but he can't be expected to handle Williams. That's a servicable 6'4" college player guarding a 6'9" lottery pick. Carney also dominated Asumnu. The good news is, after Saturday, the schedule bends in our favor. At a lousy Mississippi State team, then three home games. Didn't see anything that discouraged me tonight. Played a very good team head up on their floor. Replicate that effort the rest of the year and we'll be just fine.

I think we're going to need a little patience this year. Personally, I think we're ahead of where I thought we would be.

Agreed. None of us were thinking that we would even have a tourney shot before the season. We still may not end up going but we have a better chance than we thought we would. That makes it hard, especially games like that where we played a good team in their house and played them close. That could have been a huge win and ended up being a small victory, but the program is heading in the right direction for sure. Hopefully we can get a couple of other big wins before the season is over. This team deserves it.
