Obviously Memphis has been better than us the last 3 or 4 seasons and the best team in the state. How do you guys think they would do in the SEC over that time span?

We'll have a better idea of just how good they are after their bowl. I suspect they would be middle of the pack in either division of the SEC, at least this year. I do feel that there will be some drop off since Norvell is now gone, but kind of thought that after Fuentes left as well.

Are they in the SEC East or West and who is their permanent rival? If they replaced Mizzou in the East they would've been a 4-4, 3-5, 5-4 ish team. In the West, a lot worse.. Just my opinion.

If they were in the SEC they would get better recruits. I would say around where we are now. But we'll get better and be a top program again.

With what I think would be a difference in the entrance requirements for freshmen as they relate to the SEC requirements, there could be a fall off. However, if this is not a difference as I expect, then Memphis could compete in the SEC. Remember there are many other sports than football and basketball, they play pretty well in most of those. However, if I were looking for another Tennessee school for the SEC, it would be Middle TN State. Given the exposure of the SEC, they would be a factor fairly soon and it is the largest on campus school in the state.

They're good for Memphis. I'm not sure they would have actually beaten us the past 2 seasons. 2017 probably because everyone beat us.

If Memphis were in a major conference they would clean up. That’s a great recruiting area. FedEx money. I could see them with a new stadium and top facilities.

6-6, 7-5 with a regular SEC schedule. Competitive like Kentucky and Miss State but not a threat to the top.

That’s if we’re talking about the teams the last 4-5 years.

Edit: I projected this Memphis team through UT’s schedule this past season. I finished them at 8-4. I gave them Ga St and BYU at home but I had them losing at Kentucky. I had them winning the other swing games with Missouri, Miss State, South Carolina, and Vandy. Florida, Georgia, and Alabama were sure losses.
