Vols rebound to crunch Coast Carolina

The Tennessee Vols quickly put a disappointing loss to Nebraska out of mind, and went to work on Coastal Carolina. The result was an 83-51 win that wasn't as close as the score indicates.

The Vols ran at every opportunity, and quickly built a 21 point lead, then coasted for the win.

Scooter McFagdon had 19 points and freshman Chris Lofton scored a dozen for UT. Coastal Carolina was led by Pele Paelay with 14 points.

In the middle of all the good news was some bad; the Vols shot just 56.5 percent from the free throw line on the heels of that disaster at the charity stripe against Nebraska.

Tennessee is now 7-5. The Vols open play in the SEC on the road at Georgia Wednesday night.

:eek:lol: Hey at least we are winning more than we are losing so far. It would all be much better if we had a player named Pele Paelay! He would fit in with Scooter and Major.

When the Vols start beating UK, UF ( who lost to FSU today  ) and ANY SEC team, THEN I'll be impressed!
