Does he really get that much exposure except when somebody needs a quote about the '72 Dolphins?

Not at all, im a Colts fan, and i see him all the time on ESPN, he was just on there 10 mins ago talking about how awesome he was and that nobody will ever be as good as the 72' Fins

GaVol, do you drive a black Lincoln?

Read his book, Against the Grain. It will give you a new perspective of MM.

That's not really what he said. His point was that Don Shula used the Super Bowl failure from the prior year as motivation and that the goal wasn't really perfection as much as it was redemption.

I'll look into that book, i realize i could be biased with my dislike by passing a verdict on him just from what i know (which isnt much) something about him just bothers me.

Not to go off topic....

It was interesting to hear Knight say he told his team, before the season, that nothing less than an undefeated season was acceptable.

I'm not a huge MM fan but so far he's right about the 72 fins team, at least in the perfection of a season sense.
I think he's just more proud of what they accomplished that nobody else has than he is egotistical although he has some ego too but hey, all the great ones do past or present.

I heard Mercury Morris. I'm here. Good back, but Czonka was the primary back on that 72 and 73 team.

Morris led the league in TDs in 72 and had only 100 less yards than Csonka. He was a serious contributor. Csonka's official position was fullback, I believe.
