Before you jump on the Hart/Jones bandwagon, look at the contract, especially the bonuses and the buyouts!

Dave Hart just sold UT out far worse than Mike Hamilton ever thought of doing. Bad part is, we still do not have a head coach with D1 major program head coaching experience. All Hart cares about that is UT is his $750K salary. Again... look at the Hart/Jones contract!

Agree,

A threads merit has nothing to do with whether it is negative or positive. IT has to do with whether it addresses an actual topic that generates quality discussion among forum
members.

This forum has a lot of memebers. But the forum suffers because you have to wade through useless threads that contain no information, or subject for discussion. It is one thing to comment on a thread, another to start a thread.

That doesn't mean a thread can't be negative or positive. Only that the thread should actually be there to begin a discussion on a particular topic.
Not, "Bad hire," or, "Coach is awesome." Platitudes, one-liners and ad-hominems should simply not be allowed.

I hate gestapo moderating tactics, but with this many members there should be strict rules on what dictates a legit thread topic. Not saying every thread I've started is perfect, but I don't start a thread every two minutes.

I think the point here is:

Having solid reasons for not liking or liking cbj is valid and worthy of comment. It is the constant bomb throwing, trash talking rants which have plagued this board that most refer to as negavols. It is hard to find "solid reasons" in those.

The mediocrity of the Admin has hired mediocre coaches and produced a fanbase that accepts mediocrity. Sad that if you think that you are "merged" into a bastard like thread. I love Tennessee and am tired of settling, it's not poo-pooing on our team..

No one is telling you what to like but when you're only reason is you don't like the hire because he coached at Cincy and CMU, you sound retarded.

Urban Meyer only coached at Utah and Bowling Green.

Chip Kelly only coached at New Hampshire.

They were a disaster at at Florida and Oregon, right?

I always question people who "accept" things as how they are after a HUGE debacle...and you cannot tell me after this coaching hire process that it WASN'T a debacle (like the new coach or not).

It's been less than 48 hours and people are going to be PISSED because they don't accept it.

Get off your frickin sunshine high horse and let people vent if they want to. If this is too much for you, don't read it.
