Using the wife's laptop I keep getting "out of memory at line:10" as a little popup box when viewing certain web pages. It doesn't always happen but it has just started randomly. What does it mean? Is there something I need to do to correct a problem?

It also said yesterday that the windowns virtual memory was low...no idea what the means?

Are these problems related?

Any help would be much appreciated.

How much RAM do you have? The issues could definitely be related.

I wish I knew. I know a few things about computers but just enough to be dangerous...

Where would I find out?

Start->control panel->systems.

Also, how much extra space on your hard drive do you have?

Go to "My computer" then go to system properties. It should tell you what your RAM is and other good information about your computer. This is if you are using Vista.

Also, what version of windows are you using? I've been a Mac user for a while now but I remember a setting in windows where it was possible to manage the size or the virtual memory... or you could set it to 'let windows manage it' I believe.
