To the OP. I am amazed that you can find something to complain about in the commitment of the Berry twins. Yes I agree, you are being petty.

Regardless of the photo Freak used, I just give props to James and his wife for giving us these VFL's to use for a few years. They may not end up AA's but I'm sure they will give it their best effort. We've had a lot of very good college players at UT who went on to be respected citizens.

OK, sorry if this sounds petty and nit picky but I have to say it...To have an article about the Berry twins committing and yet have an associated picture of their brother with the KC Chiefs, don't you think that's sort of overshadowing THEIR accomplishments? I mean, afterall this isn't an Eric Berry article, it's an Evan and Elliot Berry article. Just sayin'.

Somewhat, maybe, but remember it's about the legacy! Remember, their dad played at UT also.:peace2:

I'm just glad they chose us.

I have a feeling the Berry name will be even more legendary when their time is done at UT.

All I know is Eric needs to start procreating in a hurry, that 2031 recruiting class will be here before we know it.

72,
You sir are completely CLUELESS in your assessment. Just stop trying to defend it and say "OK, MM is not in category with the others". The kid was excellent as a true freshman, then became an All-American at UT, then battled serious injury late in his career which cost him a proabable 1st round pick and NFL career.

He is a VFL, a humble leader, and was a stellar representative of UT who never once came close to bringing shame on our beloved Vols. My personal favorite was that he turned down the Playboy AA team "honor" on moral grounds. Regardless of what your position is on that, it shows character, principle, and willingness to sacrifice for "right vs wrong".

To put down Michael Munoz as a Vol failure is shameful IMHO.
The following is from his NFL Draft assessment.

Height :6'5''
Weight: 306
40 dash:5.23
Bench:470
Squat:600
Power clean:330
Vertical:30.5"
Arm Length:34"
Hand length:9"
Wonderlic score:25

More to follow.

First of all, I didn't "put him down as a failure." I am apparently not alone in being "completely CLUELESS" in my assessment of Munoz. The following is verbatim from his NFL Draft assessment under weaknesses:

"Marginal muscle development, no bubble and lean calves. Slow twitch moving after initial burst off the ball. Does not roll his hips properly in run blocking. Slow footed athlete with marginal pulling ability. Slow when working in space , lacking fluid moves to get after the linebacker, and struggles to adjust to counter moves and double moves. Maintains balance and body control at the line of scrimmage, but appears too slow-footed and stiff to redirect against the inside surge. Can move with authority off the snap , but has trouble making the reach block or containing the edge rushers.
Lacks that nasty nature that you'd like in a drive blocker, using his size and upper body strength to occupy the defender, rather than get movement to gain position. Has minimal leg drive and no explosion coming off the snap. Despite his size, he's not a mauler, preferring to finesse the defender.
Durability is an issue....Gets good hand placement, but is sometimes slow with his initial punch. His marginal lower body strength causes him problems when trying to anchor. Stiff hips prevent him from moving laterally when working in space."

There is an unbiased opinion( not through orange tinted glasses) of an NFL scout. I don't know Michael Munoz. He may be the finest person ever to play for U.T. I know that you have a severe man crush for him, but he was not Anthony Munoz, a man who was in the Pro Bowl 10 or 11 times.
