I was jogging at the track at my former HS here in Farmington Hills, MI (suburb about 25 min north of downtown Detroit). I swear I probably haven't stepped foot in my old HS in over 17 years! Got done running and was like thinking "screw it...go in and check out the old gym, weight room and possibly run into my old Varsity FB coach" lol You must have a visitors pass to get in the school So, I found an unlocked door near the gym...stroll down the main hall leading to the weight room and as I turn I see my old Varsity coach sitting there talking with this bigger gentleman...bald guy with a pointy (Mr. Burns) nose wearing a black polo shirt. I didn't know if I should interrupt but I did. Sure enough, I see the power orange "T" on his shirt and I go Coach Strip?! lol I was in awe...it was so cool to see a UT assistant coach at MY little HS in Farmington Hills, MI! haha

I told him we all love Coach Jones and appreciate all of the work they have put in thus far. Also told him if they need any recruiting help here locally that I would definitely attend some HS games and represent the big orange! Gave me his card and told me to email him sometime! What a coincidence eh? Totally unexpected surprise! It was truly an honor and figured Id share it with you all :salute:

Nice story. You have his information now so you have an obligation to do some scouting. :)

Let me know if you do, I'll help you rep the Big Orange at some high school games in the area. I'm not to far from yah.

You got it man! About violations, I have a dear friend that went to Oregon St that knew some alum that was fraternizing with some of the recruits at HS games. I was told I cannot say ONE word to the player or his family! Ill just wear orange and root for the players lol

My old HS is called Farmington Hills Harrison...always a player for state championships and sending troops to local and national NCAA programs.
