Yesterday I was at Justin Harrell's house. He has always been one of my favorites. His one arm game against florida was inspiring. Cotton bowl performance was awesome. He thought butch was going to turn it around and Dooley was a "different" kind of guy from what he heard from former players that had gone back. He seems to be doing well considering the rolls in his driveway. He did say he wished the nfl had went a little better but much to be thankful for. Very large guy but soft spoken and such a nice guy.

I thought this was some sweepstakes to ''meet'' him. You're saying you met him. He was a great player. I don't remember all the specifics but in the one arm game he had a chance to make a play that could have won the game for us but he couldn't do it with one are. He needed to be able to wrap him up. Just seems fitting now. We've had so many close winable games in recent years and we just seem to lose them all

I played injured on more than one occasion injured. It's not an easy thing to do especially at that level and with that type of injury. I gave and still give him all props for giving his all for ut

I went to school at Tennessee-martin, that was his and Chad Clifton's hometown. Crazy 2 guys from that little place both made it to the league and had such great careers at Tennessee. I had been wondering whatever happened to him, I was assuming his time in the NFL was over but wasn't really sure.

The guts and desire for that Florida game... Rarely celebrated in Vol history. I guess a win would have carried a little more weight behind it

Good story about Chad Clifton's recruitment. Gene Stallings came to Martin for an in home visit. While he was inside, some of Chad's buddies took white shoe polish and wrote "THIS IS BIG ORANGE COUNTRY" on Stallings' rental car.

The Cliftons didn't appreciate this gesture nearly as much as the rest of the folks in Martin did.

BTW: Will Ofenhusel is also a native of Martin and a graduate of Westview High School
