Look for Charlie Weis to move back to the NFL and Meyer to head to the Irish. When this happens-uncertain. Bottom line this will happen and it comes from rumblings deep, deep in South Bend.

Meyer has a better program in Fla.

Charlie hasnt won a big game for the Irish and his calling is the NFL, not college. Then the Golden Domers are going after Meyer. I am not saying this is going to happen this year, but tab this thread. For when it happens, you read it hear first. :hi:

Let me ask you a question though, if he(Weiss) can't win the big game(s) in college what makes you think that he can go and do that in the NFL?

The NFL is a different animal than college. Weis experience is in the NFL, not college. I believe that it is a better fit for him than college. IMO
For NFL coaches going to college-they have to recruit the players and then once they recruit them they have to keep them out of trouble. Something they are not used to. Carroll is the only coach that I know off hand that has had success making the transition.
College to NFL-Guys used to teaching are now faced with million dollar attitudes. Only Switzer and Johnson (I believe) are the only two college coaches that have had success in the NFL (SBC).

How crowded is Gatlinburg today with the opening back up of the slopes?

When I saw the thread title, I thought is was like a Jeopardy answer: Name your two most hated things in college football.

I hope that, when it comes to Meyer, you are confusing "respect" with "hate." Meyer has done nothing to merit the latter, everything to earn the former.

If Weis gets his NFL gig, and if Meyer is the first choice of the Irish, what makes you think he would leave Florida for the Domers, especially considering that he was the leading candidate for the job two years ago and accepted the Florida job anyway?

Some people need to take a "lighten up" pill.

I know, I know. I'm okay with folks predicting UT success based on UT getting better, and I didn't really complain much last year when folks said they didn't think Meyer's system was going to work in big time college football, or even that he is unproven.

But now that he's proven himself against any reasonable measure, I'd just like to see some folks say he did a damn fine job and he has the respect and admiration of some UT fans.

Again, okay with folks predicting UT success based on UT getting better. Not so happy with folks hoping against hope that the competition coming from Gainesville isn't all that great. 'Cause it clearly is.

LG calm down. Meyer is a good coach you won the NC. I just wouldn't expect a bunch of UT fans to stroke the UF ego. Soak in the win be happy and know that everybody is gunnin for yall next year

LG what is wrong man? your boys just won the friggin national title. you should be joyous. however, you should know that watching Florida win a national title in football to join their national title in bball is going to rub UT fans the wrong way. I hate meyer for proving his system works and giving me yet another coach to worry about for many many years to come as a UT fan. Absolutely he's proven himself. Absolutely i hate him for it.

ps lg, we throw hate around here a lot. I've got nothing against the guy personally, i just don't want to see him in florida as a coach.

Bennett here is some advice for you:
1)Don't compare me to a Bama fan
2)I will find you when this happens
3)keep your BS to yourself
