So at first he had health problems and had to resign and then the next day it changes to a leave of absence. An interim coach is named. Then we hear he will return to the team in August to coach.

He still hasn't started his leave yet, so did he get healed all of a sudden???? He has hired coaches and been recruiting. Do we really think he will start his leave after NSD, because I bet he doesn't miss spring practice either.

So what other coach really does much during the summer months? Who does he think he is fooling on this?

Apparently, rival recruiters.

Coaches like Meyer do a lot during the summer. Watching some film maybe, traveling around the country going to coaching clinics and football camps. Recruiting never fully ends. Meetings with S&C coach. Etc.

Any coach that wants to win more than he loses better be working every day of his life to be a better coach. That's just how the profession is. You gotta work harder than the other guy if you want to win.

So he's taking a break from the less stressful things. Gotcha.

Definitely doesn't seem made up.

Here's the source.

I can't see where this guy would have an axe to grind with UF or Meyer. He looks perfectly objective to me.

A student at Florida State University, Corey got his start in sports journalism covering local high school football for flavarsity.com. In 2008, he joined warchant.com and began covering FSU athletics. Since then, he has covered events such as Florida State's 2008 super-regional victory, Seminole football pro day, and the majority of Seminole football and home basketball games. Contact Corey.

We have our homers too.

Franz Beard immediately comes to mind....the next negative thing he writes about UF will be the first.
