Meyer on "Style Points"

Florida vs. Florida State is not just some minor game that sports writers will just take a look at the box score for. It's the type of game people will watch and know how close it was. And it was uncomfortably close, especially for the best/second best team in the best conference in the country, vs. a team with a losing record in a bad conference.

ESPN.com - NCF - Maisel: BCS style has Meyer questioning system

I have to say that I agree with him. A W is a W, no matter what. Him holding back on the trigger just 7 yds from a TD with a minute to play netted some respect points from me. "Style points" shouldn't be pushed on these kids when you should be trying to foster good sportsmanship.

He's just jealous USC and Michigan beat ND into the ground.

The biggest win he has gotten is Western Carolina.

But I think if Florida wins the SEC championship, they deserve to play for the title, but they won't.

Who's to say Florida could've actually put it in the endzone there near the end anyway? Their offense is pathetic. They have 0 "style points", they've just out-uglied everyone. The only way they garnered any "style points" against Alabama was running an INT back for a TD.

They beat LSU pretty soundly. They also beat us.

Well... It looks like Meyer can get his style points on while USC and Ohio State play in Glendale.
