Good grief, the App St. vs Miami game is at the same time as our game vs Ohio...I think I'm going to stay home so I might flip back and forth, especially if we take care of business early.

Miami opened as a 3.5 point favorite.

Been looking forward to this one. Boone is a great town/area, and I know they're excited about the exposure. Gonna be tough. I'll be rooting for the Mountaineers.

They also host Wake Forest next year, which will be their 2nd ever power-5-conference visitor.

I read that they sold 10,000 tickets above maximum capacity. Tickets going for as much as $750 on StubHub.

Miami will roll them, Vols will struggle with Ohio, and VN will have an epic meltdown despite being 3-0.

It'll be a close game. Could go either way. But I'm going with App State

I'm going to set the DVR
App State should take care of business I believe. Looking forward to seeing a game in their stadium. The place looks nice with incredible views from pictures on the internet. As hard as they fought/played I'm pulling for them from here out.

Be honest. You are pulling for App St for the same reason the rest of VN are.

Florida State at Louisville is at same time as well.

I'm not seeing the big deal though, I bet Miami wins.

FSU-Louisville is also at noon.

For once I look forward to a noon start thinking I'll get the rest of the afternoon to watch good games but lolnah. Half of the most interesting games this weekend are kicking off alongside us.

I'd like to see App St get the win.
A. I dislike Richt
B. I dislike most Miami fans (when they care)

Hope Appalachian State puts one on them.

I could see that happening too. I think if Appalachian State was to win it would get a lot of people off our jocks.

I would be one of them who would be a little bit more positive. I think App state is really gonna have to bring their A game againts Miami. Kayaa is a good QB and Richt for the most part is a good coach.

Kayla can sling it. Richt never really had a problem winning games like this at UGA so I could see them blowing Appalachian State out. Richt's biggest issue was he could get you to the big game, just couldn't win it. Some years he couldn't even say that.

I see where you and likeminded people are coming from with having doubt after that game as far as we go. There wasn't much positive to take from it. My argument to that would be that when somebody says "Don't take too much from the 1st game" when we blow somebody out of the water, they don't feel the same when we come out and don't beat somebody like Appalachian State the way we should. We are improving, my biggest knock so far is the OL and our slow starts. The defense needs to come out from the whistle and play, not wait until we are down 14-0 or a TD and start playing. Once they decide to start playing our offense seems to feed on it. The other night in Bristol everybody was complaining about our lack of offense, we had a short field on 2-3 scoring possessions and took advantage of it.

An Appalachian State win or even a very competitive game would change some folks mind I do believe.

The way to get people off our jocks is to show it on the next 5, starting with Ohio.

The fact that if App State could kick an extra point, they would have won, means nothing.

Getting waxed by Bama, UGA, Florida and A&M is when a lot of people are on our jocks. That sounds awkward, but truer words don't exist.

Go App State!

I watched most of that App State vs Old Dominion game, just out curiosity. App State cruised through that game. It was over at halftime, so they took it easy on the Big Blue the second half. I think they will give Miami all they can handle.
