Actually wasn't released, just decommitted.

'“Really, I’m looking at everybody,” said Beasley, a 6-8 forward at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va. “I’ve got no favorite. I’ve opened my eyes, basically. I don’t want to be stuck on just one school.”

Beasley named numerous schools he will consider, including K-State and Charlotte. The others he is looking at are Connecticut, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Syracuse, Tennessee and USC.'

It is great to finally see us listed on some big time prospects lists.

Actually, he hasn't. And if he has, could you provide a link? Read the article. It is from a Kansas City Newspaper from today.

I'll take my sources on this issue over the Kansas City paper every time. I guess you believe everything you read?

No, but I've gotta ask you. What are your sources? It was an article in today's paper, quoting what Beasley said. If he has committed to Kansas State, why does he say he is wide open?

I actually think he'll wind up at Kansas State, but where does it say anywhere that he has already committed?

The Cincinnati Enquirer and the Lawrence World Journal both had articles on the issue earlier this week. I get accused of name dropping on here on a regular basis. I'll simply say this, my source at K-State is fairly reliable. He used to be the head coach at Cincinnati. Beasley mentioning other schools is simply to deflect criticism of the perceived package deal with Dalonte Hill.

Hatvol, no offense, but I would think a sports writer in Kansas City would have just a few more sources than you in this situation.

Now, again, I think he will probably still end up at Kansas State, but until you can provide a source, I'll go with what I read in this article.

i bet your sources love you bugging them for information all day so you can post it on a message board.

You're dumb, right?

He just outlined that Bob Huggins, HC of KSU basketball, has told him Beasley has committed. I'd take a HC's private word over a journalist everyday.

Now if you want to disbelieve he actually TALKS to Huggins, thats another argument.

Of course I know he was talking about Huggins. And yes, I am saying that I don't believe him.

And even if he does somehow know Huggins, I would hope he would be respectful enough to keep it a secret and not post it on a Tennessee message board.

1) Webber like hands. NBA ready now. 2) Given the plausable deniability the internet provides, coaches don't mind these things appearing here at all. 3) Huggs and I have been friends for quite some time. I don't call looking for information. It comes up in the course of conversation. Same as it is with me and Cal and Tim Floyd. 4) Walton if you dont believe me, pull up my posts and look for the last time I was wrong about anything I posted as coming out of any of those programs.

Alright, my fault. I guess I just havent been on this board long enough to see all your posts. But yeah, your sources are very credible, much more than any newspaper. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

Friends?

It's impossible to see if you're being sarcastic. Anyways, I actually consider everyone on this board a friend. If you were being sarcastic, just follow my information and I think I'll convince you. If you weren't, I'm not looking for accolades, I just try to add the stuff I'm lucky enough to know to the board.

How are you HV? I told you UT would at least get its name involved in the Beasley sweepstakes. That is an example of Huggs helping a friend. Just like steering Kenny Williams to AK at Ole Miss, having Beasley mention UT when he mentions schools helps Coach Pearl. Huggs is generous like that.

I actually wasn't trying to be sarcastic. I can see how it might look that way. I was just saying that I'm sure you do know those people, and if you do, they are much better sources than any newspaper article. If that is the case, I was wrong. I want to try to get along with eveyone on this board, hence the friends reference.

Either way, no problem. You're a hoops fan. That makes you alright in my book.

Doing good. Still hoping to land Moore, Tatum, and Hickson though.
I think Tatum is a done deal, now or whenever. We'll see where the rest of the class comes from.

Yeah, unless we drop him(which I don't think Pearl will pass on a 6'6" wing with NBA range and a nose for the ball), we should sign him. As for the guard, I still like Moore more than Harris, but the coaches like Harris more. I would take Harris. He is awesome on defense, hustles every play, and can cut through the defense with the best of them. No question that Hickson is the top post priority, though Barnes and Sanchez are also high on that list. I think we could land one of these for sure if that is who they want.

Man, isn't it awesome to be able to discuss potential big name recruits, and know that we have a very realistic shot to land them.

I am really excited about Tatum. From what I have heard, his upside is unbelieveable.
