Don't know, but he could shoot and wasn't a bad ball handler neither. If you had him and Gary Carter in todays game, they would be bombing away. As ole John Ward would say 'Pops-----Drops' or 'Guns----Bang'!!

I don't know what he's doing right now, but I have seen him at Paul's Oasis in W. Knoxville on occasion... Just hanging out and having a beer... He's a super cool guy... Really laid back... I haven't seen him in a few months, so IDK..

He's somewhere right now having a beer with Tyrone Beamon, Willie Burton, Dan Federman and Mr. Ellis.

If I remember all of those players, does that mean I'm old?
Didn't you get the memo? Those players didn't really exist. Any Tennessee basketball success prior to Bruce Pearl's arrival is fiction. Just ask the Pearlophiles. They'll clue you in to that fact.

At the time, I thought those guys were old men.

I remember buddies at school who mimicked Brooks odd shooting form. It was the cool thing to do.

I went through several nerf hoops listening to the "slender [Sophomore, Junior, Senior] from Marietta, Georgia" and those other guys. As I recall, Wednesdays and Saturdays were pretty standard nights for the games, and I lived for those 2 days every week during the season.

Nerf hoops were the best.

Looks like there's been a technological leap since I had my last one...just the orange plastic rim, net and a metal u-clip to fit over the door. I need to ebay one of those up.

That's awesome! I want one.

I'm pretty sure mine was like yours, just an orange plastic rim that fit over the door and a small orange ball made of foam.

And they apparently get alot better than that. Yes, I had the simple foam ball too, which is probably good because the coated, harder ball they use now, I would've done some serious damage with. That's more of a garage setup.

Imagine what Brooks would have been like if they'd had the three-point line back in his day. Guy could drain them from anywhere.
