U of L Micheal Bush broke his leg in 3rdQ of game out for season. Tough break(no pun) for those guys still won big over UK.

Tough times for the Ville. West Virginia just picked up a big edge on their quest for the Big East title.

Yup, exactly. Bush was my favorite running back coming into this season. I expected him to be a surprise invite to New York.

I wouldn't say Michael Bush getting invited to the Heisman Trophy presentation would be a big surprise. Or maybe you were referring to the Draft? I guess that might be a surprise.

Guess he's not going to get those 30 touchdowns afterall...

Brohm's Heisman chances seemed to just go up a bit, I guess. Depending on the support he can get from the backup RBs, he should have some big(ger) numbers now.

At a lot of sportsbooks, Bush was a 25:1 chance to win the Heisman, which put him like 12th or 13th at best. Still, I thought he had a serious chance to win it.

It's not like he wasn't mentioned on every single writer's Heisman list. His name has been preceded by "Heisman candidate" for months. You just can't say he would be a surprise finalist.

I heard everyone mention him as a darkhorse, and I was just saying I personally had him in my top 5, even top 2.

Well he does play for Louisville, which hurts his chances. He could put up the same numbers as Mike Hart and Darius Walker. The difference would be that both those guys would get invited to the Heisman presentation over him.

Rightly so. Big names at big schools face tougher competition week in and week out. A player at a less prestigious school should have to put up better numbers to win the Heisman than a player at a prestigious school.
