Michael Moore - I'm not in the 1%

"Even though I do well, that I don't associate myself with those who do well. I am devoting my life to those who have less and who've been crapped upon by the system."

Funny, that's probably the same justification used by rich businessmen who employ thousands of workers.

So by helping the less fortunate is he out distributing checks or what?

Maybe he could start helping the less fortunate by not eating so much. He has to consume at least 6-7 more meals than the average person to maintain that physique.

Seriously though, I'd like to know what corporate eateries this guy eats at.

He could also help by actually using union labor when he films his movies

When he gives enough of his own money away, to whatever causes he deems worthy, to remove himself from the 1%, then he he can talk.

It's hard to understand why anyone would give a dam as to what Michael Moore says.

that's why he was on Piers Morgan's show on CNN and not on any news outlet owned by Rupert Murdoch. If anyone gave a damn, he'd appear on a show that has an audience larger than a Trivita info-mercial

It's really about whether you hate poor people and are wealthy because others are poor.

And if you're wealthy while anyone is poor, then you de facto hate poor people

Apparently it's not about money you make - it's about whether or not you think you are in the group
He's right for the most part. The 1% are the most productive among us. Since he has never, to my knowledge at least, produced anything of value, then he does not belong in that group.

Again, he isn't one of the rich bastiches that force the peons to work and slave for 40 whole hours a week for a mere 9 times the world average income. How dare you compare him to that scum!

He's been on Fox and done quite well, I don't think they like him too much because he doesn't let them steam roll him - like they have a tendency to do with so many of their 'hostile witnesses'. You may not like him, but he wouldn't, nor has he gotten punked like Jeremy Glick.

And this is why our world is screwed up. He views his work as meaningful. He makes films, now his claim is a bit more worthy since he does documentaries, but they are still films. Yet the folks who produce things that we use to make our every day lives better are evil...
