I hear Michigan is waiting until after the bowl game to evaluate Rich Rodriquez. I hope for their sake that means they are keeping him.
In my view, one of the really bad things about Kiffin's departure last year was the timing. Right now there are a host of coaching changes going on and most of the really hot coaches are already either moving or signing extensions to stay where they are. That leaves you with coaches that either weren't approached or already turned down jobs.
After Kiffin left, Tennessee had to wade into that pool and understandably a lot of coaches were reluctant to up and leave right before signing day, especially after the beating Kiffin took for leaving.
So if Michigan thinks its going to wait until after its bowl and then snatch up a good coach, it seems to me they are unnecessarily narrowing the field of candidates by waiting.
