For those of us who questioned whether or not we should have complied as much as we did in our investigation…we’re about to see what happens when you pretty much do the opposite…I hope the NCAA goes in dry on Harbaugh and UM…very few things are as satisfying as witnessing extreme arrogance getting put in its place

I completely agree with you. But do you really think UM is gonna get in any real trouble? I have my doubts.

Even Bama got cornered by the NCAA.
I expect Harbaugh to be the focus of the investigation while he drives off into the NFL sunset, ala Pete Carroll.

It is interesting to compare this with the UNC and LSU cases, and contrast it with the UT case. I believe we may be last program to cooperate with the weakening NCAA.

IMO it will be an extreme response in one direction or the other...either the NCAA will slap them on the wrist and basically acknowledge it is toothless at this point....or they will bring the hammer in an attempt to prove they are still relevant...the second will likely find them in some sort of litigation over the matter...

Either one IMO will lead to a place where the NCAA is basically nonexistent...it's just one will get us there faster than the other...

Or maybe I'm just overthinking this and nothing extreme at all will come of it

I will bet harbaugh doesn’t receive anything like pearl did.
I think he will. If the have undeniable evidence that Harbaugh intentionally lied to them - and I believe they do - it’s an easy slam dunk and it lets the NCAA show that they don’t tolerate non cooperation. It will take a long time to play out and I bet (as others have suggested) that Harbaugh goes to the NFL. His team this year may have some special motivation knowing that he is probably gone.

It’s Michigan. Nothing will be done of consequence.

He was arrogant after his lttle 3 game hiatus. Basically an Aerosmith "I'm back in the saddle again!"

Even if Harbaugh beats Bama and then wins the Natty, Michigan is probably going to end up vacating several wins, if not the whole season.

Winning is his only chance to try to keep his job for a few years a la Wade if MI chooses to just stare down the NCAA like LSU did.

He'll still be fired eventually but winning makes it easier for the school to hang on to him. If he was 7-5, he'd be looking for work in the NFL right now.

In reality, we'll probably see the difference in Michigan and Tennessee when it comes to the value that NCAA puts on their top shelf pet programs.
