I'm just suprised other coaches haven't been canned before him. Namely, Walt Harris and Larry Coker.

You'd figure, with a decent QB at the helm like they've got, at least a win or two would be possible. San Jose State, Navy and Arizona were all decent shots for the Cardinal to win a game. Barring a monumental upset, Stanford is gonna finish 0-12 on the season. USC, UDub, OSU and Cal are left on the schedule.

Given that the QB you're talking about is out for the season, and didn't play against Arizona, I'm pretty confident that the administration will give Walt a pass.

Forgot about that. You think Walt can do any good?
Stanford is a really tough place to win consistently in football. I think Harris is a good coach, but 7-5/8-4 would be as well as I think anyone could hope to do in Palo Alto on a consistent basis.

True. Ty Willingham has really been the only decent coach in Palo Alto in a while. I agree though, it's kind of a death trap for coaches. Denny Green had a tough go there.
