The recruiting map is about to get a little more clear.

Wednesday will mark the first day mid-term enrollees from Junior College can sign with their respective teams. The signing period lasts until Jan 15th but you will see the bulk of the committed JuCo players sign on Wednesday.

Mid-term Junior College transfer players are the only mid-term players required to sign a LOI. Players enrolling out of High School just enroll.

Guys to watch on Wednesday:

Kenbrell Thompkins - Should sign and start practicing with the team immediately.

Ken Adams - Rumors have him making a last-minute switch back to the school he committed to out of High School - Auburn.

Bruce Irvin - Does he sign with ASU? I seriously doubt it. If anything he will wait for awhile until he is sure what he wants to do.

Matt Simms - With no offers in hand, it would appear that Simms will have to wait awhile before he is able to sign. If he misses the Jan 15th cut-off he will have to enroll in the fall.

Cameron Newton - he has offers, but is he ready to decide? Something tells me Newton has been hanging on for a better offer, but I don't think one comes.

And just after posting I read that Bruce Irvin will not sign on Wednesday and will be in Knoxville for an official visit this weekend.

Looking good for the Vols there.

Could someone tell me if there is any chance that berry returns for his senior season to graduate? Or is it a done deal?

You have posted this question in 3 threads already dude.

Highly doubt he comes back. Berry was quoted saying he is leaning towards turning pro.

I feel good about Irvin as well..I really hope we get this guy. His highlights are just plain sick.

How about Cullens, I think he may be one of the more important players in the class if he's in it?

Just visited Oklahoma. Ok read. Had some depth concerns. Really wanting to come in and play immediately. He is not a mid year guy and still looking at taking two last visits after New Years. Thinking about Auburn and two other western schools. Says Florida and LSU are calling but doesn't see that happening.

Simms will walk on alright..... without an offer he will walk on down to another school
Does he really need the scholarship offer? The money isn't an issue and if he wants a chance to play for a major program. He could be sold on walking on for a chance to compete to start if no other major program offers him. We have Stephens who couldn't get on the field even when Crompton struggled a lot. Bray will be in his first year. Kiffin can also point out the progress Crompton made in the system as the year progressed. If I'm a QB with no major offers, UT is a very attractive situation. Most likely it won't happen but I wouldn't rule it out. Does Simms have any other offers at this point?
