....actually watchable/ listenable this week. Michael Smith, which is to the NFL as Buster Onley is to the MLB at ESPN, has been in place of Golic. He's good. Funny when need be, insightful, and always come through with something solid without always refering back to himself, like Golic.

Doug Gottlieb was in place of Greenburg. Same as Smith. Funny, charismatic, insightful, all without going back to his college basketball days.

Gottleib and Smith as a team blow Mike and Mike out of the water when it comes to a listenable and entertaining show. Another thing I liked was that they stuck to sports. Mike and Mike are too stuck on that whole metro-sexual and manly man schtick and it takes over the shows many days.

Mike and Mike tends to devolve into Regis and Kelly on the radio. It's sort of sad too because they are both smart guys with insight, but it's hard to listen to the show for more than 5 minutes.

I'd like to see Gottleib get a shot at Dan Patrick's time slot.

I really like Gottleib when discussing bball. He always seems to have good insight on teams. I'm not a bball junkie but he works for me.

I was hoping Hard that your next words were ......

Cancelled.

it's Steve Czaban and the First Team on Fox sports radio or nothing for me.

Boycott the evil four-letter empire!!!!

My opinion is completely the opposite. I think Mike and Mike are great. Gottlieb and Smith had no chemistry whatsoever. They tripped over themselves so many times it got pathetic. I actually sent an email asking how Gottlieb even got the gig. He was noticeably frustrated with Smith on Tuesday morning. Mike and Mike do occaisionally get off sports, but are funny as he** when they do it. I will agree Gottlieb and Smith are well versed on many sports, I just thought their on-air chemistry was horrible. IMHO, Greeny and Golic are awesome in the morning. Much better than the Steak, Nick and Mike, even though they are pretty good too.

There is a reason Mike and Mike have gotten so popular. I think my opinion might be shared by many.

I agree with GA. Mike and Mike get too silly to listen to sometimes. A lot of times actually.
