Obviously it's ridiculously early for a mock NFL Draft on kids who haven't yet played a single down of college football, but he has Jarrett Guarantano going in the first round, so he's got that going for him at least.

With the 28th pick of the NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select...

28. San Francisco 49ers: QB Jarrett Guarantano, Tennessee

Farrell’s take: The 49ers traded back up into round one and took an offensive lineman, but the talented Guarantano is too good to pass on at a position of need.

The media has just reached the bottom of the barrel. 2017 mock draft already out there, I thought that was borderline idiotic. Now someone is actually doing a mock draft BEFORE these kids even play a single down.... and we acknowledge them to give them justification for doing it... SMDH

This has got to be one of the silliest things I've seen in sports writing. What a waste of time. I will never get these minutes of my life back.:eek::)

You'd have just spent them doing hood rat stuff...like smoking cigarettes, getting in fights or getting a belly tat. :cool2:

Yeah, I thought making an educated guess at who and where a player would get drafted in next years draft class would be enough, but doing it for players AT LEAST 3 YEARS before may go to NFL if at all!!!

Come on. It was done in fun. It's not meant to be taken seriously as an actual representation of the draft. Look at it as a list of prospects who Ferrell thinks have all the tools to go pro in a few years. Just fodder for discussion in May.

The only reason I posted it was because I think it's high praise of Guarantano, projecting him to be the type of player who could end up a first round pick in a few years.

I remember reading one if these about a HS Sophomore or Junior. The article said he will be a number 1 pick and a HOF. It was Peyton.

I could see that. I'm sure Peyton was a high profile kid at a young age, with his bloodline.

That settles it. Guarantano is the next Peyton. :)

if there wasn't a demand for it, they wouldn't write it

These type of articles are just what you would expect during this time of year, but while we are at it I saw this one as well:

Just For Kicks: 2021 Mock Draft - Ucla - Scout

Tennessee could potentially have 3 potential first round picks if Lawrence, Gibbs, and Higgins commits. I know, I know, its ridiculous to predict these things this early, but that is what "silly season" is all about.

PS-Sorry its from a Bruin site, that's the only place I could find a link to the article.

I don't know why so many people are getting so mad over articles like this. Its May, the only real headlines this time of year are player transfers/arrests and maybe a commit or two. I find articles like this somewhat interesting and at least it is a change from the hundreds of projected pre-season polls that are put out. Besides it's is nice to see Tennessee mentioned in this light again. Let me ask you this? would you rather go back to having to read about being picked 5th in the East and hearing Dooley talk about bamboo and WWII?

The Titans still top10 pick and taking another OT.

If the Titans are still picking in the top 10 by the 2020 draft, then the team should just be disbanded permanently. Especially if they are still drafting OL in the first round.

D4H! Calling D4H (sorry Butchna, I just gotta)......I don't think anybody has Dobbs going 1st round in their 2017 mock draft, no? CLEARLY, this 100% proves that JG is gonna be better than Dobbs at UT. 😁😳😉🤗😚

Actually there is.

Though this is as irrelevant as Mike Farrell predicting the draft before kids even set foot on campus.

I don't think you are getting what the writer did. He was doing this year's draft and draft order but using 2016 recruits instead of 2016 draft prospects. In this scenario he envisions JG being drafted in the first round.
