I just read a chat from Mike Farrell of rivals. I tried to pick out ALL of his UT talk...Below are his quotes about UT's chances with a few recruits, mainly Rogers and Ambles:

His thoughts on Dooley on UT's chances of landing Rogers and/or Ambles
"Dooley has done a very good job and I think they get one of either Ambles or Rogers and possibly both."

on who UT has a better chance of between Ambles and Rogers:
"better shot at Rogers because of his quarterback. "

His Ambles Prediction
"UNC or Tennessee for Ambles."

His thoughts on James Stone between UT and Bama
"Bama if they push for him, but this will be interesting"

On Ambles going to USC
"I think USC is too far and they have too many WRs."

Glen Stanley Flipping to USC
"yep, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Stanley flip to USC"

Recruits who may decide after NSD
"it wouldn't surprise me if a few did like Ambles, Shirley or some others. I'm sure someone will."

UT's chances for Ambles
"50/50 is about right I think, his dad really likes Tennessee."

these guys don't know anything, just trying to read the tea leaves and make logical guesses. everybody needs to just cool it until those letters are faxed in.

I was the one who asked better chance of Rogers or Ambles... He never went in to much depth in many of his answers and kind of told us what we already know.

No way Stone picks Bama over us.

Don't be so sure. Just from what I've read of his comments I'd say its 50/50 right now. The thing that would have hurt us if he does choose Bama, IMO, will be the unpredictability of our coaching staff, i.e. he was quoted as saying the Bama has a track record of developing players and success on the field. However, he was also quoted that Dooley was more personable than Saban...

I like our chances with him but I don't think we're a lock, though I'm no recruiting guru.

Get Stone, Rogers (or Ambles), Robinson and keep Stanley and I will be a happy camper. AND Copeland--of course. LSU is hard after Cope.

Seems to me that we could almost count Stanley gone. Would be surprised if we get Robinson, but again, my stance is we don't get any of them and if we do, then it is a big surprise. Kind of a mental deal so I don't get my hopes up....

We land both Ambles and Rogers and both of them being 5*'s and also grab Stone it will send our team ranking on rivals through the roof to the top 3 with only UF and Bama probably ahead of us...We are already 7th and if we lland those 3 We are going to be in good shape...Got to love seeing USC at 11th...Hopefully they will have some decommits at the last moment and really sink their ship.

I think we will be in great shape, but there is no way that we will pass Texas imo

I live in nashville and have had the pleasure to met him several times. He is a very smart young man and will make his decision based on what is best for him/family. He does not get wrapped up in the recruiting "wars". His decision will be the right one for him! I respect him no matter what!

I think the only guarantee is the gnashing of teeth because of someone we don't get. Folks often seem more concerned about who we didn't get rather than who we did.

id say if we keep everyone (besides stanley) and add MA and rogers and stone could POSSIBLEy finish 5th....maybe...just depends. with copeland etc..
