I dont think he's all that great. I'm not too crazy about these renovations he's putting neyland through.

he cares about all sports and the athletic department overall has taken great leaps and bounds this year.

His best move was hiring Bruce Pearl but that's about it. I think he acts like a snobby 16 year old girl. Needless to say I don't like him at all

I haven't actually sat down with him and talked by all means, but I saw him around campus when Bruce Pearl was first coach...he doesn't have much of a personality

If not for the hiring of Pearl, Hamilton would be a Flop! as it is he's a PUTZ.

He fired Buzz Peterson. That, by itself, makes him the greatest AD in UT history.

Whoever said bring back Dickey must not have enjoyed watching this bball season.

I like him only for the reason he hired Pearl and fired Peterson. That turned the BB program around overnight. I also think he might have the cajones to give Fulmer his walking papers in a couple of years if its needed. Hiring Pearl gave him some equity.

I think he's an elistist snob. He purposely distances himself from the fans and the programs, and he's boring when he does surface.

if you haven't noticed, the renovations decrease the seating capacity. sure they improve the quality but still......

Personally, I think losing seats is a small price to pay. That place really needed updating.

Hamilton is a nerdy MBA type much like David Houssel at Auburn who will run the AD as a business. The days of ex-coach AD's are over. He is doing a good job. His next hiring will be front page news.

What has being the top 3 in attendance gotten us??? We have a better road winning % than home over the past handful of years...

I guess everyone has forgotten the Peach bowl, the LSU garbage, the band and numerous other screw ups.

I believe the two million dollar a year head coach had a lot more to do with us being in the Peach Bowl than the AD. If memory serves me correct, the LSU game turned out to be the only highlight in a wretched year, and I couldn't care less if we never spent another penny on band travel. Save the money and earmark it as part of the fund for the basketball practice facility. Let the band alumni pony up if they want to see their successors travel.

I think he's done a great job so far. Neyland Stadium is way over due for a make-over. His first big hire was Bruce Pearl. He stood behind Fulmer during all the Bama issues and Fulmer's death threats from the bammers. I think we finally have an AD that gets it, he is helping all of the men's programs rise to the top.
