To be fair he hired Bruce. Which made us relative again.

And he also left Bruce out to dry when he could have helped him before he interviewed with the NCAA which might have prevented the entire mess from ever happening. Most people don't know the entire story. Hamilton was the worst AD in UT history

Truer words were never spoken. A real AD would have been in contact with the NCAA during the investigation and would not have let the coaching staff get blindsided by any of the questions. It was a set up from the beginning.

And none of this makes up for hiring Kiffin and Dooley (both had losing records) for football and that idiot Todd Raleigh for baseball (a worst hire than Dooley). Then when you factor in the men's track debacle and the grades, the money deficit, etc. Hamilton should be called the Human Death Penalty.

The worst AD in SEC history.

You hit the nail on the head. " Booger" Cheek should be noted as the worst Univ. President in the SEC as well.

The thing that Kills me the most about Hamilton is that he turned down Brian Kelly for Lane Kiffin, and worse...Kevin Sumlin for Derek Dooley. Mind blowing.

Right on. I hate what he did to my school. He should stay in Africa and help the people there because he sure f'd up UT sports.

Terrible luck is an understatement. Oh what could have been...

Kelly would have been a great hire. I am not 100% sold on Sumlin. His D stinks this year, and let's face it, he has been riding Manziel's coatails. Let's see how he does after Johnny Football goes pro this year...if he is even the coach of Tamu. IMO, he would be wise to take one of the many offers supposedly coming his way.

As for Kelly...well we have the guy that followed him at CMU and Cincy now, so maybe that's just as good or better. :)

He helped set us back light years. There were others that helped though. They all should have been fired when Hamilton was. What they've done to UT athletics should be criminal..

That's what a lawyer is for and Bruce had one. A lawyer is going to help you more in that situation than AD.
