Mike Leach is a national treasure

Same here and I was another who was fired up about the idea of him coaching. I do have to wonder what kind of fit it would’ve been with the fan base. I remember the way fans went all to hell over Pruitt calling us all out after the spring game. I just don’t know if the fans could’ve handled a Mike Leach postgame or press conference. Would’ve been entertaining if nothing else

The issue i dont think would have been the common fan. We probably would have laughed at the stuff. But the arrogant donors with the money that want to act like everything needs to be proper etiquette would have hated that guy. Think Thurston and Lovie Howell from Gilligans Island. Lol

Mike Leach will never win a national championship. But he does understand the importance of competition, wants to win, and still understands that football is a sport that it is intended to be fun. And most importantly, he isn’t a pretentious a-hole. A la Nick Saban, just to name one.

I would be perfectly content with him coaching one of my favorite teams and getting 7-9 wins a year.

If he won, he'd be a great fit. If he didn't, the act would wear thin real quick. No different than any other coach.
