I am curious to hear everyone's take on this guy after watching the interview. Many folks on VN were very high on him. Hopefully we'll be too busy discussing the Garner hire.

I lost interest when his team gave up 60+ in the biggest game of his career.

<------------ Don't count me as someone who wanted him. He was the flavor of the month coach that alot of people jumped on the bandwagon. It was great to see him get exposed for the idiot he is.

Don't you mean Yaw Yaw's boys instead of Nutt's?

Is he going to tell Andy Rooney the secret on how to have your defense give up 140 points in their last 3 games?

I think he's an interesting guy and probably has a genius IQ, but he simply was not a fit here.

From what we have seen here in the last lilttle while it is important for a new head coach to have a lot of connections. This is something most people did not bring under consideration. There's more to a HC than just running the ship - its all about bringing in the staff, top recruits and many other things.

I am the biggest leach hater ever, but I know a great offensive mind when I see one.

They fired their DC mid season last year, and are still trying to figure out how to field a team with the scraps left over.

His O puts points on the board no matter who they play. Despite Ole Miss dominating Time of Possession, they still put 34 on the board.

I really enjoyed watching the west texas pirates get stomped by the SEC, but I still recognize his spread O. I think it is one of the most innovative of the bunch.

Agreed. Many new coaches (of any sport) are overwhelmed at how little time they actually spend coaching as a head coach because of the other figure head-type of crap they have to do that is non-related to football. When they were just assistants, all they did was coach and/or recruit. CLK is on the right track.

Love him or hate him, the guy is a good coach. He has to compete with all the big texas schools in recruting and he is in west texas. He has done more with less than alot of big time coaches.

I was one of the people that was big on Leach when the topic came up, but I was concerned because he never has a good defense. Then the Oklahoma debacle happened and I walked the plank.

Go Kiff.

You have just been proven to be the idiot. You are probably one of the guys that was calling Clawson an idiot too.

I think the pirate could win a bunch of games in the SEC, but I never had faith that he could produce championships.
