I imagine the score would have been rather lopsided in favor of USC had Leach coached USC and Lane coached Washington State the other night.

Sanctions or no sanctions, USC have still been bringing in top notch recruits and are one of the all time great programs. Washington State probably has the smallest stadium in the country for a team playing in a major conference and I'm sure their funding and facilities are some of the worst as well. He still beat USC.

I tend to believe Leach could have lit Lane up if they switched rosters. As if all of the advantages USC have weren't enough, it was also a home game.

I actually have always liked Mike Leach and thought he got a raw deal at Texas Tech. With the lack of pressure at Washington State, Leach will get his guys and the Cougars are going to no longer be an easy team to beat in a couple of years. As for Lame, time to walk the plank.

Mike Leach is about as normal as Phil Jackson. Super smart scheme guys in their respective sports, with some of the weirdest personalities you'll ever run across.

I took a lot of crap over the years for actually liking him. I'm glad to see he hasn't lost his wit.
