Lets see how he looks. Its not like we are unfamiliar with expecting our QB to make positive strides between seasons.

Listening to Alabama Sports talk Radio programs (sorry I am down here amongst the knaves), the prevailing opinion is pretty much that they are going back to „bully ball“ (yes that is the term they keep using 🙄) so a return to a game manager type QB will suffice for their run at their 217th National Championship.
I feel like calling in and saying „Hey this is 2009 and we would like our game plan back. Get back to modern offense“

Their fans are always trying to find any excuse as to why they don’t win every game. Sometimes the game plan doesn’t matter, sometimes the other team is just better. These new “fans” of Bama wouldn’t have been fans at all 20 years ago.

What i think is hilarious is a Bama team that Pearl clutched over Crawford throwing up on the field last October is now about to suddenly go all bully ball gangster.

THIS!

That's all I've heard is how the Gumps are going back to "murderball".

I think that's code for, "We don't have confidence in any of our quarterbacks!"

That's pretty funny. Bully ball, eh? I don't think that would have saved them last October. Not sure it'll save them this October either.

Saban did this in 2011, 2015, and 2016. We'll see all three guys against MTSU. Maybe 4 if Lonergan gets snaps. The guy who starts against Texas is the real starter going forward.

When the modern world interposes on delusion, the weak minded retreat into comforting memories of a long vanished golden age 😂

I’m guessing when the dust settles Simpson gets the nod.

And people thought Ty Simpson was the second coming and would destroy us. Lol. Dudes a bust. Thank God we didn’t get him.

I've not looked around at Bama this year. They ditched O'Brien for Rees who i know nothing about. I assume he'll be calling plays so I wonder what his style is?

So when they’re down 14-20 with a running clock there’s still hope..

Do we need a separate MTSU vs Alabama thread? The officials already helped Bama. MTSU starting corner called for a questionable targeting call on a punt on the first series. Gone and Bama got 15 yards after being tackled deep in it's territory.

I didn't like that call. But then they overturned the second one that seemed far more obvious. So either I or the refs have no idea what targeting is.
