How fitting....sending Bama home after ANOTHER loss in Tennessee!!! Familiar road music!

Tide fans have heard that song so often the past 10 years that they ought to make it the new state song of Alabama.

I thought I heard Rocky Top in the background, but then I thought I must be losing my mind. What a great way to send Bammer back where they belong :dlol:

BTW, Minnesota just made a new fan for next year :rocks:

Yeah. And we could make ours "WE OWN ALABAMA" (sung to Sweet Home).

Predictably, Bammer fans are calling the move "classless". Seems to me their band was up to no good during the UT/Bama game but of course the double standard is nothing new to Bama fans.

It is just as likely that Minn was playing the song since it is about the state of Tennessee where the game was being played as opposed to dissing them by playing the song of a rival school.

Either way, it was AWESOME :p :p

The bama band started playing during the Alma Mater at that game... tacky
and tasteless doesn't describe how that made everyone feel......
I have no respect for that... The Pride of the Southland Band shows respect
and I am very proud of them..

GO VOLS....
GO BIG ORANGE.....

Not to mention that their kickers were trying to practice while our band was still on the field.

I just have to say again how wonderful that was, no matter what they meant by it!! They finally get back into a bowl game, have to play in Tennessee, loose, and then have to hear Rocky Top!!!!!!!!

Life dont get any better!!! (Oh wait, we won our bowl game.................it does get better!!!!!!!) :p

I heard that as well. I wasnt sure why they were doing that, but figured it was obviously a Tenn/Bama thing.

Anyway, thanks for shedding the light. I wasnt even thinking about the fact that that bowl game was being played in Tenn.

Pretty creative on Minn's part.

Did you go to the Cotton Bowl or watch it on TV. If you went, you should be very familiar with Rocky Top now. It is the sensation sweeping the nation.

I can never hear the song mentioned without the tune getting stuck in my head.

Not that I mind, though.

Yes, I was at the Cotton Bowl. And yes, I have now heard Rocky Top about 100 times....lol.

No worries. Of all the other bands I would have to listen to, I think my first pick (other than A&M's of course) would definitely be yours.

Yeah, they play it whenever something good happens and as you know, it was christmas all over again in that game. ;)
